Spring 2007

Clinic Wins International Award.

Pauline has just returned from USA where she attended the International Thermographic Seminar held at Duke Medical School in North Carolina. Pauline was presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award for services to Women’s Health.

This was based not only on the standard of our screening but in the high results we have from our treatment programs following thermographic findings.

In short this interesting week shows that we are well up with the international standard of care in Australia although we are well behind in the number of scans being done per head of population, especially in the area of scanning younger women for early signs of breast disease.  If we are to reduce the rising incidence of breast cancer then we need to be working with higher numbers of this group of women.

With October being pink ribbon month, please encourage other women to take advantage of thermographic screening. Men also can be of risk of developing breast cancer. The breast cancer gene BRCA 1 and 2 can be inherited by men as well as women. Where there is high family incident then the men should be screened as well. This gene is found with a much higher incidence in the Jewish population. Have a pink ribbon moment. Email your female friends now and tell them about thermography.

Cardiff Hospital has found thermographic screening to be so useful in monitoring complications of diabetes that they have now recommended that all their diabetic clients will be screened annually.

Spring Cleaning

With the busy summer social season approaching now is a great time to get into a healthy shape internally. This is especially true for those of you who have been run down after the recent flu season. Most disease starts in the Bowel and an unhealthy liver can also cause a lot of problems.  Do ask us about suitable support formulas or book in for a full check up.

Diabetes
Our modern life style is causing serious issues across all age groups. It is easier to prevent diabetes than to deal with it once it is diagnosed. This is now one of the most worrying conditions for health practitioners and has a serious effect on the medicare budget over the long term as so many health complications are associated with it.

We test all our clients for signs of pre diabetes. This is the time to act. A BIA assessment is a simple way of testing for metabolic syndrome or book in for a full Listen Test if you have serious concerns.

Case Studies

Mrs MB
had developed an extreme problem with her blood pressure aggravated by an overactive thyroid issue. Her problem was serious enough to markedly affect her life and keep her almost housebound. Because of the drugs she was already taking we had to take particular care in our treatment plan. On testing she showed a couple of problems with bio- chemistry that were easy to solve but our major decision was to try to treat her bio-energetically because the long term requirements she would have make it advisable to avoid an oral program. We tested her using a Jai (electro-regenesis) unit. This adjusts the vascular return amongst other things and over the month of her trial she improved considerably. She then purchased her own unit which she uses during the day and has made excellent progress. The jai unit is worn on the body in a discrete fashion and does not interfere in daily activities.

Mrs SG   Sometimes it is the simple things that count. This lady had some issues with fibrocystic breast disease, painful arthritis in her hip and heavy periods. She also has allergy problems to a number of drugs so the medical treatment aimed at helping these problems had just made her worse. Because the hip pain was her major problem we started her on emu oil capsules. This proved extremely beneficial for her hips and helped with the other issues as well.
